At present, the commonly used plastic materials for casings mainly include PC ， ABS and PC+ABS. This casing mainly uses PC+ABS, and even ABS is used as the casing; several casing manufacturers in South Korea were the first to use pure PC materials. GE Company originally did not recommend using PC materials for mobile phone casings, and advocated the use of PC+ABS materials, but in the past one or two years, it has also introduced PC materials suitable for making casings. In recent years, the proportion of shell manufacturers using PC materials for shells is gradually increasing.

Pure P material is used in China to make the shell, and it has encountered great troubles in spraying and other aspects. Even several world-renowned paint merchants could not solve the problem of paint adhesion at that time, and finally had to buy it directly from Korea. A close-to-mouth prepared paint.

Recently, there have been great breakthroughs in injection molding technology and coating performance, and the proportion of casings made of PC materials is constantly increasing. Plastics can be divided into general grade, temperature resistance grade, impact resistance grade, yang combustion grade, electroplating grade, etc. according to their uses.

PC: The scientific name of PC is polycarbonate. Material performance characteristics

1. High strength, tensile strength 69MPa, bending strength 96MPa.

2. High temperature resistance, long-term use can withstand the temperature environment of 130 degrees Celsius

3. Good transparency and non-toxic.

4. Raw material color matching and surface coating are not as good as ABS

5. PC should be selected with high liquidity. Housings suitable for use in hostile environments

ABS: The performance characteristics of ABS (acrylic butadiene benzene copolymer) material:

1. Low strength, tensile strength 43MPa, bending strength 79MPa.

2. It is not resistant to temperature, and the long-term use temperature should not be higher than 60 degrees Celsius.

3. Good fluidity, coloring, surface spraying and electroplating performance.

PC+ABS: The synthetic material of PC and ABS, taking the characteristics of the former two, has excellent molding and processing performance, good fluidity, and high strength (tensile electric strength 56MPa, bending strength 6MPa). Pc+ABS material is mainly used for shells with high requirements for general appearance and color but no special requirements for the environment. Materials are selected according to structural characteristics.

1. When the structural strength is high, the wall is thick, and the structural shape is complex, PC+ABS should be preferred;

2. When the structure is relatively thin and the strength is insufficient, PC should be selected.

Material selection according to the appearance coating color:

1. PC+ABS should be the first choice when bright, multi-color, and strict requirements are placed on Xu clothing;

2. When electroplating is required for the appearance, ABS should be selected.

PC material should be used for shells used in harsh environments (such as low temperature, vibration, impact, etc.)
